About Me
How I became Handy Anthony:
A few years ago, a close friend was asking around our circle if anyone knew of a good handyman for a few odd jobs. Without missing a beat, and without even checking with me first, my wife chimed in and volunteered my services. She had no idea what the projects were, but she didn’t hesitate, because after all these years, she knows how handy I am and that I’ll find a way to figure it out.
That friend ended up calling me “Handy Anthony” and the nickname stuck. Now when she has a project or needs something repaired she tells me “I need Handy Anthony”.
Funny thing is, I’d never seriously considered being a handyman for a living. It just never crossed my mind, even though I’ve been fixing, tinkering, and installing things for over 30 years. I liked putting things together, taking things apart ~ rearranging ~ and making something new out of it, adding new features, installing new things, just because I enjoyed it.
Sometimes I think I could’ve just been a Handyman all this time. But truthfully, I don’t see it as wasted time. Every random job and all the different projects I’ve worked on in my life has really shaped me into who I am today and introduced me to many more friends I wouldn’t know otherwise, most importantly, they led me to my wife and the family we’ve built together.
